Amrik Kalsi is the Director of sustainabilityAFRICA and consultant to various United Nations Organizations.
Since 1972, he has been invited to present papers on a variety of topics
at international conferences. From 1988 to 2004, he worked as a Human Settlements Officer at the United Nations Human Settlements Programme.
He has traveled widely and participated in many UN and other
international conferences and meetings all over the world. Amrik has
served on many inetrantional juries and panels.
Currently, Amrik is doing an in-depth research on the impact of
Millennium Development Goal 1, in the eradication of extreme poverty
and hungerin two villages in sub-Saharan Africa, from the perspective
of local human needsand the particular values of the people targeted
by the MDGs interventions.
